Watch HR Bridge ("the app") shares your Apple Watch heart rate with cycling apps such as Zwift by acting as a standard Bluetooth heart rate sensor.
What the app does with your data
- Heart rate. While you run a session on your Apple Watch, the app reads your live heart rate from your watch and transmits it over Bluetooth to the devices you connect, for example a computer running Zwift. This is the app's only purpose.
- No storage. Heart rate readings are not saved by the app, not written to Apple Health, and not kept after the session ends.
- No collection. The developer does not collect, receive, store, sell or share any data. The app has no account, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not use the network.
Permissions
- Health (heart rate, workout session). Used only to read live heart rate during a session you start on the watch.
- Bluetooth. Used to broadcast your heart rate to the devices you pair.
Who can see your heart rate
Any device within Bluetooth range that connects to the app's broadcast ("Watch HR"). The standard Bluetooth heart rate sensor protocol has no pairing password, so only start a session when you are comfortable with that. Stop the session on the watch to stop broadcasting.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
